Paseo de la Quinta is one of the favourite promenades of the inhabitants of Burgos, to go for a walk or to ride a bike.

It starts from the Paseo Sierra de Atapuerca where you can find the Museum of Human Evolution, which lead us to the park of Fuentes Blancas, on a 4km journey up the river Arlanzón.

It is particularly busy in the summer where it benefits from the shade of the trees and the coolness of the river. In autumn its thousands of trees change colours. It is also a perfect place to see birds and squirrels eating from peoples’ hands or jumping between the trees.

The first part is a botanical garden which, inspired by the varied plants and landscape of the province of Burgos, has recreated its rich ecosystems. The second part, bigger than the first, is a space where you can find many poplars and chestnuts. This promenade ends near an artificial beach, located in the Parque de Fuentes Blancas.
