Parque de Fuentes Blancas is located on the east side of the city, on the bank of the river Arlanzón. It is 6 km away from the city centre, one and a half hours by foot, following the course of the river. You can also go by bike along the cycle path that runs along the river.

Fuentes Blancas belongs to the Green Belt that surrounds the city; this park is cherished and visited by the local “Burgaleses”. Here we can find numerous fountains: Prior, Salud, los Castaños; which may be the origin of its name.

This place has also a wetland that covers more than 30 hectares, an ideal place for watching birds. There is also an artificial beach, a large children’s play area, barbecue areas, cycle lane and a camp site with swimming pool. This is what makes of Fuentes Blancas an ideal place to spend the day and go walking any day of the year.
